THE PROVIDENCE BARN
This project is one I hold closest to my heart. I had the honor to design and build my own wedding venue alongside my husband during the summer of 2020, at the absolute height of COVID. At the time it was extremely difficult for any engaged couple to find a venue that allowed gatherings, so we decided to build our own. It was built from scratch on a piece of his property in Washington state, about 35 minutes outside Portland. This beautiful 28’ x 44’ venue space was designed, constructed, and completed within 60 days from concept to our wedding day. My husband and I tag-teamed between building the structure and designing the space. With a capacity of 115 people, it boasts of 25ft tall ceilings and exposed rafter beams. After the wedding, we used the space for various community events, gatherings, and parties.
